Michael Dubois died the other day, less than one month after I performed surgery on him. Only his name was not Michael Dubois, it was Richard M. Swist and his wife’s name is Virginia.
I was shocked to hear he was gone and that it happened so quickly, and very likely because of the inspiration from the Holy Spirit, I felt compelled to share his passing with you. In fact I had Francy, my nurse contact his wife, Virginia and to let her know that I had written about him in my blog and that I would also like to write some more about him and would she be kind enough to share with me their memories of him.
I am changing to his actual name at the request of his wife, Virginia and their daughter Carol.
These are their thoughts about a wonderful man, and a loving husband, father and grandfather…

‘He was a father to three children and a grandfather to five’
‘He worked many hours to make sure his family had everything they needed’
‘He was a man of his word, had a kind spirit and a man who you instantly fell in love with’
‘He was a FAMILY man; family always came first. He would take his last dollar and give it to you if you truly needed it’
And so this was the man, Richard M. Swist that touched my heart immediately the first day I met him, like he had to all those that loved him dearly and knew him better than I.
